My brother and I bought this deck, hoping to learn what Pokemon is about and how to play it. Don't do this at events. In the Lucario deck you get the following: Lucario, Riolu, Gravler, Geodude, Machop, Machoke, and Starly.
We went from knowing almost nothing to getting a great start on our collection. These decks are really great starter decks, except for the fact that the Manaphy one is more powerful. This is a great stepping stone for beginners.
You of course get multiple copies of some of the Pokemon for better gameplay. We had no idea what series the booster came from at the time since it was EX, but now we know that it was from EX Dragon Frontiers. In the Manaphy deck you get the following Pokemon: Manaphy, Goldeen, Seaking, Buizel, Floatzel, Piplup, Tododile, and Prinplup.
Here's a helpful tip, if you don't have the necessary energy for your other Pokemon, in the early battles you can make each energy provide on of any energy. Overall, this is a great buy.
I will not be sending these cards back due to the fact that my son had to wait a week to get them and damn near pissed himself when it got here. If you would like to buy this item please, make sure you order it from a different store.
I thought I would order this training set so that we could learn to play over his summer break. Well, I have been wanting to teach my son how to play the Pokemon card game for some time now.
I will never order from ABCTOY4ME again. I think the product overall is great but, it seem like everything was opened and then put back in the package.
Even the extra 9 cards in the origianal package was cut and opened at the top. It sucks to know that there are people out there still trying to take advantage of kids and unaware parents.
I would pay close attention to any items you order from ABCTOY4ME.
This is a game with just enough strategy to keep me (mom) interested. My son is 10 and loves anything Pokemon. I love being able to share something with him that he already thinks is great.
My kids are under 10 and find learning this game to be fun but also with some math and reading skill involved.
My son has been playing pokemon by smacking cards together and seeing which comes up heads. This was a cheap and easy way for us to learn actual basic game and it's rules. I still think your beginner pokemon kits should be free given how much the kids want more.
